Densities
We have always chosen to plant at an higher density rate than what is asked by Appellation’s specifications. We replant at 5050 vine plant/hectare at Château Roc Meynard and 6000 vine plant/hectare at Clos du Roy. Those high densities aim at decreasing vine plant load-bearing for a same yield/hectare; for us, this is essential to reach grapes richness, maturity and maintain proper sanitary conditions.
